Welcome

Galveston ArtWalk®

For over 25 years, the Galveston Art Center has produced ArtWalk on Saturday nights from 6-9 PM in the heart of the historic district. ArtWalk occurs approximately every six weeks. Not a street festival, ArtWalk takes place in existing commercial galleries, non-profit arts spaces and "other walls" such as cafes and shops that showcase rotating, original art exhibits. One of the Galveston Arts Center's largest programs, ArtWalk promotes visual art and supports our arts-based community, offering alternative places to see and learn about art.
Each ArtWalk, participating galleries and businesses are listed in ads and on a tri-fold, glossy brochure with a map. Brochures are available at GAC and many downtown businesses. To participate, galleries and businesses can fill out an ArtWalk application. Individual artists looking to display their work during ArtWalk may contact area galleries or other businesses to arrange for an exhibition. Please see the application form for details.
